Undoubtedly, a committee or authorized person performs a feature analysis, price comparison and even a vendor analysis. The committee or authorized person narrows it down to two vendors and then somehow a choice is made.

Think about what you are doing. Why are you analyzing a list of features that the vendor provides rather than you dictating what you need and having the software designed around those needs? At this moment – you are in fact altering the way you do business – to accommodate the way someone else thinks you should be running your business. WRONG, WRONG, WRONG. You already have a package from a different vendor. Did they change it when you wanted or did they quote you a ridiculous customization price and timeframe? We think that is ridiculous – you should too. So we have to ask – why would you get another pre-defined package?
